Camp gleaner by Squirrel-slayer Camp gleaner by Squirrel-slayer
In the first camp in Snowdonia where we slept, there was this little fellow - common chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs); diligently picking all the crumbs we left for him (this one is "him", "her" is just brown). Only he always disappeared when my friend turned his head to see him so he didn't believe there was any bird. Also, the chaffing was very good in avoiding camera, he just waited for me to focus on him and then he left... He kept comming close and we were all thrilled about it. Untill we realized they are very common in Snowdonia and not shy at all... In the next camp, we accidentally spilled a bag of peanuts and the chaffinches there were so crazy about picking them sooner than us:)
