Honeycomb by Squirrel-slayer Honeycomb by Squirrel-slayer
Finally, I got to carve something new... It seems I am in some kind of "honey" phase of my life, I have honey soap, a jar of a great honey from nearby hills and I carve honey-themed pendants:) (Or a pendant.) I got this idea, spent few days looking for the right stone online, bought it, carved it and it didn't fit and broke... So I carved if for the second time and still the stone didn't fit perfectly so I had to use a small drop of glue to fix it in there... Funny thing is, that is the second time it happened and it happend only when I got the idea first and then got the stone. Usually, when I get the stone and then find some nice shape that the stone would feel comfortable in, it fits there perfectly on the first try... The other piece that came through the same process and I had to use a glue eventually, is this one Laurelindorenan...

The stone is an amber (no mosquitos with dinosaur blood inside), the wood is cherry again, all handcarved with swiss army knife, polished with sandpaper, treated with a blend of linseed oil and beeswax (of course:)) It is about 3,3 cm tall.

My perfume is honey, my body lotion is honey, I like honey on top of my cornflakes... Seems like I've joined your phase :) (I like this one, it's pretty.)
