More woodcarved things

Description

Actually, this is a little provocation. :iconladiane: said she wouldn't be able to create anything new from wood till summer because of schol. So I took my knife and piece of wood and started to cut and carve it while watching Joss Whedon's tv shows:) Simply to experiment and get her back in work:)
I carved them all with that knife lying there (only the ball in a cage was partially carved by my Swiss army knife), so that's why they look so rough. Also I am not any kind of woodcarver, I was just bored:) They are also "cleaned" with a sand-paper and mostly impregnated with beeswax.
Ring - Is from basswood and I did it simply to find out whether it would brake or not... It didn't:) I also tried to carve there some celtic ornaments but it didn't look good so it is on the side you can't see:) I didn't want to spend too much time with it and was only playing and bored so it looks unfinished and not clean. Its inner diameter is 17-18 mm, would it fit your finger?:)
Weighted companion cube - Did I say I love PORTAL?:) I think it is some kind of evergreen wood but I don't know which since I stole that cube from my sister:) (She paint them and draws letter on it.) The hearts were painted with acrylic colours. I tried to burn one first but it went terrible since I don't have that burning machine... So one side looks like it went throught the incinerator:) I am tinking about making a gift-box looking like the Aperture Science Emergency Intelligence Incinerator and give it to somebody:) Its side is 3cm long.
Green pendant - It is carved from birch and the stone is jade. I got an idea if it is possible to make wooden pendant with a stone withou using any glue or epoxide (which required all tutorials I had found). As you can see, it is possible:) The stone is simply enbeded there and seems to be pretty immovable. You can see the front side which was originally ment to be the back side... But is looks much better than the original back side:) I impregnated it with olive oil first (I didn't have linseed oil) and then with beeswax so it is darker than the other one. The diameter is 5cm.
"Cross" pendant - Again made from birch and the stone is chiastolite. When I was buing the jade for the previous pendant, I soo the chiastolite and I had to take it too as it was too pretty:) I wanted to make the wooden part more square and edgy but I didn't have large enough piece of wood. (Again, the back side is not quite pretty so you will not see it:)) It is the same wood as the jade pendant but impregnated only with beeswax. However, I used fined sand-paper to "polish" this one. It is 5x5,5 cm large.
Ball in a cage - It is made from basswood again and this one specially was made to make :iconladiane: angry:) It is made from one piece, of course, however I wanted to make the ball look like different wood so I impregnated it with an olive oil (whle the cage is impregnated with beeswax) but they have have more or less the color. (Just so you know, it tooked me Firefly parts Our Mrs Raynolds to Objects in space which is more or less 6,75 hours:)) It has 5x4 cm.

I don't know what to do now... I might do some spirals like :iconladiane: has and then - when I get crazy enough - maybe welsh love spoon. Just you try to look for some here on DA:)
